Chromate .

 Soluble in water, Chromate is utilized for chrome electroplating process. Presence of this chemical as electroplating material protects metal surface against rust formation and raises adhesiveness of paint. It is also used as integral part of conversion coating technique that involves usage of oxidants to passivate surface of metal alloys. Due to their excellent color intensity, Chromate is used to formulate pigments. As suitable oxidant, it is utilized to produce chemical reagent. It is also utilized for deactivation of welding rod matches and steel items. It has more than 99% purity level and 2.676 g/cm3 density. It is flammable when exposed to organic compounds and has strong oxidizing properties. This chemical is soluble in water and it is non hygroscopic by nature.
